se debe referir a la prueba de *tiempo de coagulación y retracción del coágulo* que es una observación visual directa de cuanto tiempo tarda en coagular la sangre recién extraida (draw). A diferencia de otras pruebas más precisas como el tiempo de protrombina o parcial de tromboplastina, es una prueba cuali-cuantitativa pero generalmente suficiente y más barata para controlar el la dosificación de anticoagulantes.
