-------------------------------------------------- Note added at 39 mins (2019-01-18 14:30:51 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The valve comprises a body having a surface that forms a fluid-tight, defeatable seal with the pathway of the side port. When a fluid is injected into the side port, the body of the valve is temporarily deformed, thereby providing a gap between the outer surface of the valve and the inner surface of the ported catheter adapter. The fluid from the side port flows through this gap and into the proximal chamber of the ported catheter adapter. https://patents.google.com/patent/US9750925 No abatible sino deformable, lo que permite un gap (por presión) y con ello al liquido "superar" tal barrera. |

"catheter adapter having a blood control septum configured to control flow of a fluid through the catheter adapter (...) a blood control septum disposed within the lumen of the catheter adapter and dividing the lumen into a proximal fluid chamber and a distal fluid chamber; a defeatable barrier disposed within the lumen of the catheter adapter and forming a sealed interface with the inner lumen of the access port" En los enlaces puedes examinarlas en detalle. |
