Es sólo un comentario pero no me cabe en el espacio para peer grade.
Dentro del material clínico que se utiliza en el hospital, se pueden solicitar mopas o fregonas específicas para limpiar en en seco (dry mops) o con agua, depnde un poco de las precauciones de asepsia que hay que tomar, ya que a veces no conviene dejar humedad que actúe como caldo de cultivo para gérmenes. Pero es simplemente eso, una fregona. :-)

Sorry, Ana! I've clarified the intended meaning of the "drymop" with the project manager for this study, and they've confirmed that a "drymop" in the above context(although it is very limited) is a small absorbent packet that is placed inside of the specimen collection bag to absorb spills and keep the inside of the bag dry. So they aren't referring to an actual mop at all. Drymop is just the name they gave it in English. I thank you all for your suggestions. I appologize for not clarifying the context before asking. I believe I'm going to translate drymop in this context as a "sobrecito blanco con material absorbente."

Sí, de verdad es un poco extraño, como que no encaja muy bien en el contexto ¿verdad? Sin embargo, viendo lo que es un:
"dry-mop" o "dry mop" o "drymop" en inglés, no parece ser otra cosa que un trapeador para el piso.
Un ejemplo:

Probablemente se refiere a las motas utilizadas para limpiar las superficies que no se deben trapear por lo tanto se limpian en seco (pisos de duela, por ejemplo). Me imagino que dependiendo donde vivas, existe distinto nombre para este utensilio de limpieza.
