English term or phrase: 'the Ts (shrink temperature) specific for collagen
I've bounced this sentence back and forth and either something is missing, or I simply can't grasp the full meaning of it. Please help me make sense of it. Here is the full sentence:
"Collagen fiber in contact with water at around 60-70 C contracts sharply at a given temperature, the Ts (shrink temperature) specific for collage in a given conformation." I've traslated it so far this way: "La fibra de colágeno en contacto con agua a una temperatura de 60-70 C se contrae bruscamente a una temperatura dada, (but the rest of the sentence scapes me!!!! ;o( I know the Ts stand for temperature or could also mean "a translocation sign". Please help me get out of my head! Muchas gracias por anticipado.

Explanation:
Mucha suerte. GFS

You guys are the greatest! Thanks to everyone. Selena was the fastest and very accurate. GFS, thanks for the explanations about Ts=Tc (I learned something new, again ;o) Telef, I may use your "ingeniera" mind because this is a technological analysis as is bound to be read by engineers (I can't never spell that word!)... Gracias atodos. Pity I can't give everyone of you points!

Explanation:
I believe what they want to mean after the comma is the name of this temperature "Ts"... most probably what is missing is a comma after (shrinking temperature)

I would translate it as follows:

Happy translation!! (as is the wish of someone I've seen around here) ;0)

Explanation:
As an engineer , I am putting it in a technical form :
