English term
Partner Songs
English to Spanish
Art/Literary
Music
It is part of an elementary school curriculum, part of the arts and music component. The entire paragraph says:
"Vocal technique: Perform partner songs and descants, ensemble performance, diction and expression."
Now, wikipedia defines partner songs as "two different songs that have a similar harmonic structure and length, so they may be sung together." So I understand the concept, but I still don't know if there is an accepted term for it in Spanish. Can anyone help?
Thank you in advance!

Como se apunta en la primera de estas fuentes, el término clásico para este fenómeno es quodlibet:
"In a simultaneous quodlibet, two or more pre-existing melodies are combined. The simultaneous quodlibet may be considered a historical antecedent to the modern-day musical mashup."

melodías similares
It doesn´t ring a bell on me. In lack of a better approach from any other peer I would bet on "melodías similares". Un saludo.

canciones de acompañamiento
Esta puede ser una posibilidad, tomando en cuenta que "partner" es compañero.
