Spanish translation:falda de costilla
Explanation:
First of all, let me confess that I\'ve never heard of a flap steak. BUT an extremely popular dish in Mexico is carne asada (and many derivatives of carne asada) and the main ingredient there is flank steak. I can see where you might refer to flank steak as flap steak as it is literally the flap covering the ribs (falda de costilla). So that may be the term you\'re looking for - falda de costilla. Hope this helps you out some! Good luck!

Dear Happy, Thank you for your help. I am still confused but fortunately this term was requested by a friend of mine at a moment I had very little time to check in the net. I found "churrasco" but I am still confused.

Explanation:
bistec de "solapa"? I looked at a chart of meet cuts and "flap" is nowhere to be found; however, the general meaning of flap can be solapa (which could be the chest area) or faldon (which is the skirt portion)

Can't imagine the cow wearing the skirts! o con un clavel en la solapa!

;O) Happy eating! ;o)
