English term or phrase: current bought forward material / buy forward
Periodic checks are made on the market price for aluminium by XXX and, if and when advantageous terms are available or when current bought forward material is running out, a buy forward is proposed to YYY.

Lo siento pero no consigo ver muy clara la frase, creo entender que es algo así como que cuando se acaba el material le proponen a YYY otra compra...???

Explanation:
I think what it means is to buy materials in advance without knowking necessarily whether or not you will be able to sell on the stock, i.e. or if the market demands it. So, I would translate it this way.

I have found another term relating to the use of \"forward\" which is \"a término\". The collins gives a few uses of this such as:

a forward rate = tipo a término
forward contract = contrato a término
forward sales = ventas a término.

Sorry to complicate things, but perhaps this is the term that you are looking for.
