earth science: ciencias de la Tierra Explanation: I can´t think of a good translation for life science, but my very first interpreting job was in the "Primer Congreso de Ciencias de la Tierra" organized by the Chilean Instituto Geográfico Militar... in 1994, I think, and the material delivered to the English speaking participants referred to it as "Earth Sciences". Good Luck. María Alejandra |

biologia, geologia, fisica Explanation: They are foundations of these sciences, so I think you can say "biologia basica", "geologia basica" and "fisica basica", or "fundamentos de biologcia"... Good luck, Mar |

See below Explanation: Roberto, As "Agua" told you, be careful witht the translations. If this is for the States those would be translated in a different manner because of the content. I have worked on Science translations for Levels K -6 and the term used in the Spanish version were[ Earth Sciences = Ciencias de la Tierra (also, Ciencias terrestres) Physical Sciences = Ciencias físicas Life Sciences = Ciencias de la vida (also, Ciencias biológicas) Health Sciences = Ciencias de la Salud In the States, Social Studies is Estudios Sociales (o Ciencias Sociales) which covers Geography and History Luis |
