English term

metal thickness

Non-PRO English to Spanish Tech/Engineering
Could you help me? I would like to know the more common term for thickness as used in the metal industry in Latin America. Is it "espesor" o "grosor". If espesor, when is grosor used?

espesor

El término técnico es espesor del metal.

Grosor es un término coloquial para este caso.

Good luck! :)

grosor

I guess they are both used. One difference is that espesor can also refer to liquids, for density, etc.

Good luck,
