I see all the guys and a lot of the girls Bruce Weber shoots because the agencies on South Beach send the kids to Ocean Drive when they’re in town. At the moment, Al David at Black and Blue seems to have the best eye for a Weber model. These are like people who’ve been to an Ivy League school, but instead of hearing "New Haven" or "Cambridge," within the first three minutes I hear "Bruce."

The first time I met him at a party I must have had a few beers, and I said, ‘Oh, you’re, like, so handsome.’ He never had another man say that to him–he’s a cowboy. Anyway, I told him I’d like to take some pictures of him. He said, ‘Well, I’m in the middle of haying season but come over on Thursday at 5:30.’ Every summer since then I’ve photographed him. By now I’ve photographed him for Vogue and Interview and with Patricia Arquette for Italian Vogue.Then Newsweek profiled Americans and ran a full-page photograph of him. All of a sudden, John and I had this life together, through work and everything.

Ivy League= Liga de Universidades Elitistas. Thought his expression doesn't exist in Spanish as such. This expression is the equivalent characterization.
