English term or phrase: bleeding-edge technology
The explanation I've in a couple of websites is that bleeding-edge releases are called like this because they haven´t been tested much. Does anybody knows if there's a similar expression in Spanish? Thanks!!! (It's urgent:)

Hello there,
This is what I found @: Looksmartresultforbleedingedge_files\te4lk30.html

"Bleeding Edge"

"Bleeding edge" is a term coined by Thomas Leavitt of Leavitt Publications On-Line to refer to experimental or prototype technologies that are not yet fully developed. As a play on the term leading edge, "bleeding edge" suggests that one is so far out on the technology curve that one is cutting one's own throat.

The existence of "bleeding edge" technologies allows schools and districts to explore the latest technology capabilities and to determine what those technologies can accomplish in an educational setting.

I hope this helps you along.
Bye
