disagree  Sean Lyle: paso is "pitch", fllight is the helical part of the screw.

disagree  Sean Lyle: doesn't translate "flight", the second (Spanish) reference is to torque reducers - not the right context

tornillo de rosca única

Explanation:
or "... de rosca sencilla"

Rosca is thread, and I've not been able to find anything closer to "flight" - but the image comes through in the Spanish.

Anyone find the Spanish for "flight" if it is not "rosca"?

tornillo de filete sencillo / único

Explanation:
The only references to "filete simple" I have been able to find were for "doma de caballos" or cookery...

However, this reference

http://www.golche.com.ar/news.htm

is a company which makes and repairs machinery for extruding plastics, and refers specifically to repairing extrusion screws by adding new metal to worn flights - and uses the word "filete".

"También ofrecemos la reconstrucción de los tornillos mediante el aporte de una aleación especial sobre el filete del tornillo, llevandolos a su diámetro original."

And now that I come to think of it, is it pure coincidence that "filete" and "flight" sound somewhat similar?? After all the first automatic screw-making machinery (a vital invention for mass-production) was invented by the British (in English!)
