English term or phrase: assimilator
Hola a todos,

por favor, alguien puede decirme qué significa /assimilator/ en el siguiente contexto:

Manual assimilator:

The driver can use the manual assimilator to briefly increase the BP pressure beyond the standard release pressure and make all the brakes release reliably, especially when the train is being prepared for service.
Each of the driver’s brake valves [B7.1, B7.2] has an assimilation button. Operating this button vents the timing reservoir [B3] through a pneumatic control pipe and increases the pressure in the brake pipe. The amount by which the pressure is increased depends on how long the assimilation button is operated. The maximum possible rise above the standard release pressure is about 0,7 bar. After the BP pressure has been increased, it is discharged so slowly again to the standard release level that the distributor valves cannot respond.

Muchas gracias anticipadas a todos!
