BootCore; startkärna Explanation: Further context needed to determine if it is the proper noun "BootCore", which should not be translated, or "bootcore", which translates to "startkärna". BootCore is the nasty file in mobile phones intended to prevent the user from changing service provider. See http://www.gsm-technology.com/index.php/en_US,details,id_pr,... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 hrs 45 mins (2004-11-23 20:41:18 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- If your answer to my question above is \"Yes\", it\'s \"BootCore\". -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 4 hrs 14 mins (2004-11-23 21:10:50 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Then I am quite sure that it\'s \"BootCore\", intended prevent the monitor from being used for other purposes than intended. Not very effective! Any computer geek can install a different version of BootCore! Reference: http://www.gsm-technology.com/index.php/en_US,details,id_pr,... |
