On an Ohio driver's license it says "Endorse" with no additional data underneath that word. Can someone explain to me what this refers to?

This could be referring to endorsements such as a CDL (commercial drivers license for truck drivers).

If there isn\'t anything underneath it then that most likely means there are no endorsements/restrictions on the license.
