a well-known playmate involved in environmental work? please see answer below Explanation: Actually, the sense is very clear. These two start out the episode being obnoxious at each other in every word they say. Peggy has just bought a new red dress because she read the following on her horoscope: You're about to embark in a new and unique "undertaking" (which Al thinks could work out quite OK : read "a business with an undertaker", a possibility of her being buried). Now she wants to read Al's horoscope, and asks him when his birthday is. (haha) He says he doesn't believe in horoscopes, and Peggy brings up his believing in a playmate involved in environmental work. This is just any playmate. The joke is in his reply: "I never said I BELIEVED her. Just that I SUPPORTED her and LOVED her very much. " How can he actually LOVE and SUPPORT someone he doesn't know? Well, he just loves women, specially the ones on his favorite magazine: "Big 'Uns". The thing is, Al never tells Peggy he loves her, yet he is capable to say he loves some bimbo he's never met, in that unattainable way Can very well pointed out. That's it. It's just something he says to Peggy. Of course, her way of getting back at him is asking his birthday. Then, the "you're a cancer" line, and they attack each other with sarcasm, ad infinitum. Hope it helps. |
