Each building is designed to function both autonomously and as part of a collective both in their internal organization, their relationship to each other, that with the surrounding landscape and the adjacent developments as well. The spaces within the buildings are scaled to receive both large and small public assemblages, while allowing for unexpected encounters and privacy among its occupants. In essence, the concept for this proposal seeks to establish a rich heirchy of places and space, yet avoid monoculture by giving the human being the ability to take in the natural and built environment in his own way. |
