Asker: Does this mean that gold is: - the most secure alarm - the last protection stage - the only alarm that actually counts - smth. else?

Asker: Yes, I understand, why gold is considered "burglar alarm" (the gold standard is more transparent for the public/investors, than other exchange standards that can be manipulated by governments), but my question was, what "ultimate" exactly refers to? Do you think, it is about WORLD-WIDE ramifications? Can you find some synonym adjectives?
