English term or phrase:valorisation
"As part of the respondents do applied research, publishing is not of uttermost importance to them before the valorisation of their research results."
Once again, this has me rather confused. I understand the first part of the sentence as meaning:
"As some of the respondents do applied research, publishing is not of utmost importance to them",
but am at a bit of a loss when it comes to what the author means by "before the valorisation of their research results". Presumably it means that this "valorisation of their research results" takes priority over publication, although this would strike me as somewhat odd, since publication of their findings is generally very important to researchers, at least in England.
