agree  Tony M: Yes, one might say that it is 'daisy-chained' from one to the next and so on, instead of having a separate wire run to each from some central supply point (spur wiring). / Thanks for the compliment, Will!

Branch wiring means that an initial 120 volt power line is brought into a fixture, but then exits the fixture (branches out) to travel out to the next, and so on.
