English term

LS Fingertip spool valve

English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) wheeled tractor
I am translating Challenger wheeled tractor flier into Polish. In the hydraulics specifications part I have found a term, that I don't understand.

Auxiliary hydraulics:
- Spool valves, standard equipment: 4 LS Fingertip spool valves, 5 or 6 optional.

My guess is that LS stands for Load Sensing and Fingertip means "fingertip controlled"
My other guess is that LS is just a valve model and Fingertip is the producer name (starting with capital letter).
I have asked this question in EN > PL language pair, but I have received no suggestions, and the deadline ic approaching...

TIA for any suggestions

You're right

I searched google, "Fingertip" isn't a producer name. LS isn't a valve model either.

[Note the use of (F) in "Fingertip"]

I believe you're absolutely right: Fingertip stands for Fingertip Control. But as I'm thinking that "LS" isn't a valve model, I can't really tell if your guess of "Load Sensing" is correct; although it sounds like it :)

Hope that helps, and good luck on your deadline :)

Ok, just found something:

LS might stand for "limit stops" here. View the links in this google page:

Ok, I found "LS": It's LS systems (Level Switch)

view links in this google page:

especially:

and this one tells what LS systems are:
