English term or phrase: preimagial
This is a text about tiger beetles. It is talking about previous studies, and saying that there are relatively few studies about the immature and pupal stages of this species. Then it says:

I cannot find any trace of such a word. Can anyone tell me if this is correct, or what it should be and/or what it means?
Thanks very much
