I'm a candidate Explanation: There is distinct difference between I am and I have. Could it be that the author is toying with the idea that the person waiting for the casting interview is comparing himself to a fish? He would be a chance catch. Perhaps he sees himself as a prize (catch)? |

I'm in with a chance Explanation: It seems like it may be an Australian way of saying 'I'm in with a chance' or 'I've got a chance.'
