English term or phrase: rock star-pad
Well, that legacy clearly remains a powerful draw, as witnessed by the newly-opened Hard Days Night Hotel, a luxurious Beatles-themed boutique establishment around the corner from the famous Cavern Club. But an association with John, Paul, George and Ringo is not vital to guarantee the success of any new venture. Take the chic Print Hotel that opened last summer. A former 19th-century tea warehouse, it is now filled with fancy loft suites that boast exposed beams, custom-made furniture and marble-clad bathrooms. And there’s not a single Beatles reference in sight.

Actually, the [car]'s roomy interior has a hint of the rock star-pad about it – but with its sleek black and silver colour scheme, this clean look is set firmly in the 21st century.

Sorry, my explanation was slightly misleading.

A pad is simply a place to live but it is used in certain phrases e.g. a batchelor pad. It is used here as a reference to help describe the interrior design of a room. The imagery is that this style of decoration one could imagine in a rock star's home.
