English term or phrase: for voters to familiarize with them
Hello everyone,

The Central Election Commission ensures the production of posters with the biographical data of the candidates **for voters to familiarize with them**.

I'm wondering if "for voters to familiarize with them" is a good English or should I rephrase it?
The intended meaning is so that voters can familiarize with them.

Thank you.

one way of phrasing it

A few alternative options:

enabling voters to find out (more) about them

to provide voters with information about them

to inform voters about them

or, as lorenab23 suggests in the discussion, one could also use "learn about"

agree  AllegroTrans: this works well; however Asker needs to ask him/herself whether proofreading of text by a native EN-speaker is advisable here

-> Thanks! As you say below, this is about "familiarization with" the candidates, not "getting to know" them personally. Moreover, it is clearly closer to what the original writer was actually trying to say.

agree  Tony M: For this part of the sentence, fine; but the translation proposed contains very many other errors, which renders the point made by A/T all the more apposite.
