There are many rules. Explanation: 1. Definite article. Use the if you want to talk about a specific thing. Use a/an if it's about something in general. The sandwich tasted good. I think I'd like to have a sandwich. 2. Do not use the for abstract nouns. In Spanish you say el amor es bueno. In English you say love is good - no *the* To learn everything you need to take a class in English. Hope this helps. English teacher |
