English to English translations [PRO] Names (personal, company) / children's names
English term or phrase:Inaya or Inayah
I am of arabic descent and want to name my newborn child(girl) Inaya. I have found this name many places online but my mother, who is from Morocco, said she has never heard of it. I want to be sure it is an appropriate name for a child, and of it's meaning.
I have heard the translation as: concern, solicitude, care, providence
Can this be used as a person's name?
Can this be considered an Islamic name?
The translations you have heard are correct.
Your questions aren't really translation questions. However, it does exist as a female name, though not widespread. It's an Arabic name, so I guess you can consider it "Islamic".
