Can Altinbay: Wanna go further? Shouldn't it be "a girls' hostel"? Why isn't there an article there. Of course, it's possible that it refers to a hostel owned by THE girl - "the girl's hostel". I submit we cannot tell from this fragment. But this is as good as any
