We never knew how to press a record, but we could make the record for you to press. At first we even thought, we will manufacture all our records, AND RADIOS and everything.
Does that mean that there was a branch in the Apple Corps dealing with producing electronic equipment such as radios?
Explanation: I think this means that when they were dreaming up/planning Apple, they thought that they would be able to do everything ...but in reality they only thing they really knew how to do was 'make' records (write the songs, record the music).
I don't think there was an electrical equipment manufacture arm to Apple...I think this is just expressing the naievety when you're in the planning stages / start up phase of a new business enterprise (we'll do this, we'll do that, we'll even do the other).
