Hi,
I was sure this was just nonsense, but apparently it has some kind of meaning! Any ideas, please?

See explanation below... (could be a lewd double meaning)
Well given the period, and the artist, I don't think it is really very likely, but I note that he is talking about finding a girl, so it is just possible:
certainly in current slang, 'to dick' is an obscene reference to having sex with a girl (or whatever)
and of course a 'dumb-dumb' could easily be referring to a none-too-bright one
So perhaps it is a veiled way of saying "I want to find a girl who's stupid enough to have sex with me tonight" — though I really think I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel here to put a sordid meaning on what is probably just a perfectly innocent nonsense song!

: Hope Des doesn't see this - I'm sure he wouldn't want to be associated with that type of song! Anyway, is he still around?

Yes, he is indeed, and has recently got married again, I think; and don't you believe it, he's quite a saucy chappie when it suits him!
