English term or phrase: Space-What-Have-Yous
Please someone explain me the meaning of the following, esp. "Space-What-Have-Yous"

"Talking to a chap, went on Gavin. "Seemed a decent sort of bloke. Got
one of those Saab jobs. Makes a lot of sense. >now goes the part I just don´t
get> It´s going right down (italicized) that pub, though. Bloody
Space-What-Have-Yous bleeping all over the place. Like a bloody madhouse
down there now."

Explanation:
Seems to me that they are talking about a guy named Gavin who is a decent sort of fellow and drives a Saab (car). Gavin is going to the pub (English bar)
Bloody (English slang for damn, horrible an it represents just about every curse word you can think of)what-have-yous bleeping all over the the place. (Damn places; emitting all sort of hellish noises). Like a damn madhouse down there now.

I hope this helps you. I lived in England for 4 years and loved it.

Bye

"what-have-you" means "whatever/anything"

Explanation:
my version of the excerpt is:
"Talking to another guy, Gavin continued. "Seemed like a good man. He has a Saab (car), and his conversation is good (makes sense)". He is going straight to that bar. Cursing much, because everybody is drunk or very loud-talking inside that bar." (NOTE THAT TV/RADIO SHOWS, NEWS PROGRAMS WILL BLIP OUT THE BAD WORDS).
So, "Space what-have-yous" means "whatever bad words there are they are erased from the quotation".

Regards.
