You need to install a hose... Explanation: A customer-installed vent line is required... = the customer needs to install a hose (line) to vent (allow air to escape, possible under pressure generated by the system) ...between the top of the mixer housing ... = some sort of box that containes a mixing unit ..and the expansion tank for the aftercooler and oil cooler= an expansion tank is a tank that allows fluid, when it expands (usually due to being heated) inside a tank, not to damage the tank due to its pressure, to travel via the hose into another holding tank. Often, it returns to the main tank once it cools. Here, it looks as though the cooling tank contains fluid, and maybe the oil cooler, too. In a car radiator, the heated water that absorbs heat from the engine (thus helping to cool it) expands, and in many systems is allows to travel to the expansion tank. The same is true in many odmestic central heating systems. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-01-24 18:12:34 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- ...allow air to escape, possiblY, not possiblE -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-01-24 18:13:48 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- more typos: allowed to travel, not allows domestic, not odmestic Physics teacher |
