It’s key that from a solutions standpoint, we articulate to our customers the value of having packaged integrated solutions available to them, helping them take applications and modernize them, whether it’s “Web-ifications” of those applications, to give them a more modern look and feel, or to help them reengineer those applications with faster time to production.

I think it includes certain type of operations which are necessary before an application can be operative... correct?

agree  Chris Rowson: Yes. So many systems projects have taken so long before they went into production and delivered benefit that their value was questionable. Here the writer wants to help the customers do that faster (perhaps through the IT Architect focus area?).
