Explanation:
i will not use endemaaj as it is, to me, closer to "integration" than to "assimilation". You are integrated when you keep your features even if you belong to a minority in a country.
You are assimilated when you lose every thing which differentiate you from the majority group.
I hope it helps you

الاندماج الثقافي

Explanation:
Pronounced: AL-INDIMAJ AL-THAQAFIYY

1. On “Assimilation”: The word “assimilate” can be used to describe the action of the larger culture as it assimilates individuals or small groups, as well as the action of the individuals or small groups as they assimilate into the larger culture. In translating the term, therefore, one needs to know which assimilation we are talking about. That is one reason why I keep repeating the mantra of context, context, context.

For the action of individuals as they assimilate into the larger culture, I prefer AL-INDIMAJ, AL-IMTIZAZ, AL-TAJANUS, or AL-THAWABAN
الاندماج، الامتزاز، التجانس، الذوبان

For the action of the larger culture as it assimilates the smaller units, I prefer AL-IMTISAS, AL-TATHWEEB, or AL-TAJNEES
الامتصاص، التذويب، التجنيس

2. On “Cultural”: To Mona’s two suggestions, I would like to add IJTIMA’IYY (“social”). I am comfortable with this term in this context, because assimilation is part of what sociologists call “socialization.” It is an interaction between a larger social group and smaller units.

تطبيع ثقافي tatbi' thaqafi

Explanation:
It is not clear from the context whether the action is from the point of view of the subject or the object of assimilation.

If it is from the angle of the alien absorbing and dissolving into a new culture, then Fuad and Raghad' suggestion are good. If it is from the angle of the hosting culture assimilating newcomers, then Yacine's suggestion is an excellent choice. I can also add to it تطبيع, which is the reshaping of habits.

For cultural you can use ثقافي or فكري (thaqafi or fikri) depending on the context.

Alaa
