English term or phrase: god
God
Issa
Arabic translation:Allah or Ilaah
Explanation:
God, with a capital G, is Allah, but 'god' with a small g is Ilaah (goddess: Ilaahat) or rabb (goddess: rabbat). The word with a small g is used for all kinds of gods (Jupiter, Zeus, etc). You would also find it in literature 'Rabbatu al-Jamal' (goddess of beauty).

رب/إله

Explanation:
As a noun it has either of the following meanings:
- رب (Rubb)with astressed b.
- إله (Ilaah) such as god of love.
- الله (Allah) the Islamic term for God.
- It may even mean a powerful ruler according to some decent dictionaries حاكم قوي
As a verb it means to idiolize or make a god of (يؤله).
Thanks
