English to Arabic translations [PRO] Bus/Financial
English term or phrase:sunk costs
relationship between manufacturers and distributors
Explanation: The two translation suggestions are pronounced:
TAKLIFA LA YUMKINU TAJANNUBUHA.
The first is my own coinage.
The second literally means “unavoidable costs” and is straight from Adnan Abdeen's Dictionary of Accounting & Finance, which defines “a sunk costs” as “a cost resulting from a past irrevocable decision, and is sunk in the sense that it cannot e be avoided. As a result, such costs are irrelevant in decisions affecting the future.”
