Cavalier projection:
A simple construction is the oblique parallel projection in cavalier perspective. The lines perpendicular to the image plane are drawn at an angle of roughly 45 degrees to the horizontal and foreshortened by 50 %. In cavalier perspective, different scales are used along the axes. The elevation is not distorted. Lines running perpendicular to this are foreshortened by a factor of 0.5 or 0.7. To make components or assemblies easier to understand, technical illustrations are drawn as an isometric or dimetric projection or in vanishing point perspective.

This yields a side ratio of width : height : depth = 1 : 1 : 1 or 1 : 1 : 0.7 or 1 : 1 : 0.5

لقد ذكرت في تعريف المصطلح كلمة "أحادي المستويات/الأسطح" وذلك لتفادي تعميم التعريف بأنه إسقاط مائل لأنه بالطبع ليس هو الإسقاط المائل الوحيد-لقد حاولت ملياً إيجاد مصطلح مترجم له بالبحث على جوجل وفي معجم المصطلحات الفنية والعلمية لأحمد شفيق الخططيب لكن دون جدوى مع العلم أنني لا أجزم بإجابتي مطلق الصحة ولكن أعتقد أنها مناسبة

Asker: Thank you, Emad, but can you confirm that this term is specific to "cavalier projection". Don't you think that this is a term for oblique projections in general?

Asker: أخي إيهاب.أولاً، أعتذر عن الخطأ. وبعد، فمع احترامي لوجهة نظرك لكني أعتقد أن كل أنواع الإسقاط هذه تقوم بتمثيل أجسام في فراع ثلاثي الأبعاد برسم في مستوى مسطح تمثله لوحة الرسم. لذا أعتقد أن ذكر أحادية المستوى لا يفيد التخصيص في هذه الحالة. وقد بحثت في جميع المصادر التي ذكرتها ولم أعثر على ترجمة لهذا المصطلح المحدد فطرحت السؤال على كودوز. أشكرك على الجهد والتوضيح، ويبقى السؤال مفتوحاً.

Please refer to the following wikipedia deifinition of a cavalier perspective or projection. It is apparent the term is used to describe a method engineers use to describe roughly a three-dimensional body on a two-dimensional plane.
