English term or phrase:no one is going to look over our shoulder
This kind of guarded behavior largely maintained but reflected throughout the institutional ranks, is mainly the professional's doing. In a word, what this all adds up to is, "we're high and mighty, been to school for years, and no one is going to look over our shoulder-we have our own ethics and we folow them."
Usually, - as far as I know - "to look over sb's shoulder" means "to copy what somebody else is doing", but that doesn't make much sense here.. Just in case nobody can help out here, you may want to post that question under En>En.
