researching shepherds' counting systems. "zeendi" is "one" in Scottish system. Etymology of word? Non-IndoEuropean? Not Old Welsh?

Explanation:
I know several Basque shepherds, and have just also another colleagues about this. As far as we know, there is not any special shepherds' counting system in Basque, they just use the general Basque counting system.
