Малкият мозък (cerebellum) представлява втората по големина структура на ЦНС и е около 10% от общия обем на мозъка, но съдържа почти половината от всички неврони на ЦНС. От по-стара анатомо- физиологична и филогенетична гледна точка малкият мозък се дели на 3 части: 1. Флокулонодуларна част (lobulus flocculonodularis). Nodulus е най-дисталната част на вермиса, а flocculus са двете съответни прилежащи части на хемисферите. Този дял е филогенетично най-стар и се нарича още archicerebellum. 2. Преден дял (lobulus anterior), който обхваща по-малката предна част на вермиса и двете хемисфери и се нарича още paleocerebellum. 3.
