English term or phrase: bylie

"Moreover, as McAuley and Brattman (2002) suggest, “This approach bylies the dynamic and porous relationship that can exist between these different levels of involvement and obscures the possibility that ‘assigned, but informed’ involvement done well can be more effective than, for example, ‘child initiated, shared decisions with adults’ done badly.”

Explanation:
"belie", not "bylie"

According to Collins English Dictionary, belie can mean either to contradict (опровергавам), or to misrepresent, disguise the real nature of something.
PONS English/Bulgarian Dictionary suggests скривам / прикривам for this second meaning, which seems more plausible in the context.
