peer agreement (net): +2降解 or 劣化 Explanation: "degradation" 可以译为“降解”，也可以译为“劣化”。这两个中文词指的是同一种化学过程，只是由于它对人的意义不同而选用不同的译法。 “降解”是客观的科学术语，指聚合物在外部作用下的降级分解。但这种化学过程对人来讲可能有十分不同的意义。 合成材料制成的产品，在使用过程中由于外部的物理、化学条件的作用，发生降解，就会使产品的性能降低，是坏事。所以，在这种场合，人们称之为“劣化”或“老化”。 但在化学材料的生产过程中，经常需要通过降解作用来得到某种物质，这时的降解是一种加工手段，就不能译为“劣化”。 这些化工产品，例如快餐合，使用过后，人们不再关心保持它的化学特性，相反，希望其尽快分解，进入再循环。这时，“降解”又是人们所需要的了。这些化学材料的回收和再利用，需要以各种物理的、化学的方式来对其进行“降解”，这时也不能译为“劣化”。 |
