English to Chinese translations [Non-PRO]
English term or phrase:Hi Winnie Wong
Thankyou so much for the lunch today. I really enjoyed it. I also want to wish you a happy and healthy new year.
Explanation: This is a bread-and-butter letter, with a formula similar with that in a Chinese note for expressing gratitute of this kind. There is only one thing I want to explain on my translation, that is, the last sentence. I added "衷心”while there is no equivalent in English in the note. It is because I think it is customary for a Chinese to add such a word before "祝福”.In this way, the translated letter reads more smoothly.
