良知良能

其实良断不失为一个很好的选择，应该推广。但良知良能良心等词在汉语中的涵义确立已久，不宜做简单的分拆解释，否则易产生误导。

judgement中隐含能动之义，故加上good非常自然，是完善、健全、合乎情理之判断之意；

good knowledge则无法确定其确切涵义，最可能的涵义是“相当多的知识”。

good ability也是同样问题，在英文中根本形不成概念。

conscience无所谓善恶，加上good未免多此一举。

我觉得上面的各个答案都对，究竟怎么译要看上下文的需要。

考虑到：
good knowledge = 良知
good ability = 良能
good conscience = 良心

Good judgment 也许可以译为“良断”。

“良断”一词，除了在佛学中，很少见到。所以，不够通俗自然。但在某些需要考虑字数、节律和声韵的地方，也不失为一种选择。

我这里用了等号，只是为了简洁，不是说这是标准的译法，和“良断”一样，也是一种可能的选择，也是“也许”。

在一定条件下，以“良知”来译 good knowledge，或以“良能”来译 good ability，都是可能的处理方式，关键还是要看上下文。

这里的“良知”和“良能”，当然不是孟子所说的良知良能，因为讨论的不是儒家哲学。不同的哲学家，不同的知识门类，对同一个语词的解释和用法可能很不一样。就拿“良知”来说，平常很少在“不虑而知”的意义上使用，一般是指对个人行为的道德意义和道德结果的一种意识，与“良心”很接近，例如“社会的良知”、“科学家的良知”等等，未必是先验的，也可能是获得的。在“良好知识”的意义上使用，也不是绝对不通。教育学和人事管理学方面，有培养良知、良德、良能的说法，知、德、能既然可以培养，当然不是孟子的那一套，究竟什么意思，得看他们的解释，可以是良好的知识、道德、能力。公司商号以“良能”命名也不少，恐怕和孟子无关，多半是取 good ability 之意。

“良知”、“良德”、“良能”、“良心”、“良断”，未必有系统的联系，看着整齐，不过是修辞上的考虑。多一种选择，说不定对提问者有所启发，如此而已。

谢谢你，Y_Bill！语言的规范性和灵活性是个挺大的论题。“良知良能”多半是讲儒家的观念，分开的“良知”和“良能”，就要看具体的语言环境。孟子的“良知”可以译为“innate knowledge”，但“社会良知”就不能译为“innate knowledge of the society”。你说得对，这些语词不应该轻易拆分，或赋予新的含义，特殊场合这样做，要以不引起误解为限。所以，关键还是语境。
