English term or phrase: cell
Poštovane kolege, mislim da je riječ o glagolu, jer, naravno ne bih postavljao pitanje da je riječ o imenici "cell".
Naime, pogledajmo slijedeći kontekst :

While initial work indicated that the p120 subunit was linked to XPE, subsequent analysis revealed that in all bona fide XPE cells the defect mapped to the DDB2 gene which encodes the p48 subunit.

Na prvi pogled, činilo mi se da je ovo negramatična rečenica jer mi je "oku" nedostajao glagol. Onda, promatrajući sintaksičku konstrukciju, uvidio sam da jedini način na koji bi bilo moguće semantički interpretirati rečenicu, a da pri tome ova rečenica zadovoljava osnovne sintaksičke principe kako njena gramatika ne bi bila suvisla, jeste da promatram "cells" kao glagol. Možda sam totalno u krivu, jer ni tada ne dobivam neki poseban smisao.
Ukoliko je ovaj "cell" glagol ovdje, molio bih da mi se objasni njegovo značenje i prijevod, a ako nije, molio bih semantičko tumačenje rečenice, ukoliko nije protivno pravilima tražiti takvo nešto.
