disagree  David Daduč: IF you want to use st. like this, you should say just "RP hry"; but still it is (1) obscure and (2) no translation.

-> As you can see on this site I believe in explanatory neologism. However, if the subject matter experts have already established a term I don't hesitate to use it as solution. You're right about the "G" at the end. But, it's part of the term being used.

agree  Radovan Pletka: RPG hry zni dobre a vypada, ze se pouziva, pridal bych vsak vysvetleni RPG hry (Role-Playing Game - Hra na hrdiny).

-> See my reply to David Daduč's comment above. When I do use established terms that need an explanation, I try to augment such a term by an explanatory addition. In Czech such addenda are pertaining to a particular instance.

agree  Pavel STORKAN: Look in some computer game magazines (Level, Score, etc.) and you will see that "RPG hry" is just exact and right. It is apparent that the term is not used solely to describe "Dungeon & Dragons" games, but strongly to PC games, as well.

disagree  Pavel Blann: You cannot use an abbreviation as an adjective in Czech. If you insist on the term "RPG" you have to use either "RPG-hry" or "hry RPG". Computer game magazines uses colloquial Czech as their target audience is young generation...

-> I DO NOT insist on using the term. I merely suggested it because it is being used. Perhaps they should use an abreviation as and adjective, but they do. Unfortunately. There's a lot about the current Czech language use I don't like.

neutral  Stana Frimlova: will people know what you are talkinging about with RP hry?

-> People who play them already know. Those who don't will have to learn. Did you know what 'kompatibilita' was when it appeared for the first time? And yet, there was 'slučitelnost'. 'RPG' such a natural equivalent obviously doesn't have.
