Klienter eller klienterne?

Oversættelse af psykologisk manual fra engelsk til dansk
target: psykologer

I en engelsk tekst forekommer der mange gange "clients" fx
"More than one event can be written on each worksheet, with a line between one event and the next as clients gain a better grasp of the task."

Det er bare ét eksempel, men jeg tit får lyst til at skrive klient'erne' og ikke blot 'klienter' som står på teksten.
Er det bare mig eller skriver man på dansk klient'erne' når man skriver generelt om fx hvad en klient burde gøre under terapi sessioner?

Et eksempel mere:
"The aim of these worksheets is to have clients become their own cognitive therapists."
Jeg har skrevet 'klienter', men det virker forkert når jeg læser det i mit hoved.
