English to Dutch translations [Non-PRO] Bus/Financial
English term or phrase:discretionary stock options/associates
I think this has to do with stock options that are given to people as a bonus but cannot think of a good Dutch equivalent. The entire sentence goes: "If you receive discretionary stock options, you should remember that you are subject to "blackout periods", dates on which our associates in receipt of discretionary stock options cannot buy or sell our stock."
Would associates be best translated here with compagnons?
Explanation: It does not refer to "partners" or similar, but rather to "members".
Wenn Sie Freihand-Optionen (onderhands opties) erhalten, sollten Sie beachten, dass diese "Blackout-Periods" unterliegen, also Termine, an denen unsere Mitglieder, die Freihand-Optionen erhalten haben, unsere Aktien nicht kaufen oder verkaufen können.
"our associates in receipt" clearly means something like "members who received".
