extern Explanation: Sowieso slecht Engels. Als 'both' op de clamp resistor slaat, zou er moeten staan: the clamp resistor*s* *are* both external. Daarom denk ik dat er bedoeld wordt: Both the clamp resistor is external, and the 5D parameter is wrong. Nog steeds geen fraai Engels, maar tenminste grammaticaal correct. Als de klant ook geen soelaas kan bieden, zou ik de zin vertalen als: De klemweerstand is extern en de 5D-parameter is niet correct. Die '5D' (en een andere waarde die je ergens noemt) doet me in de mistige verte -- zelfs bij dit mooie weer -- denken aan een hexadecimale aanduiding (5x16 + 13x1 = 93), maar of daar in dit geval sprake van kan zijn is natuurlijk maar de vraag.
