Pendant for manual operation of the yaw system.
A control box (pendant) enables the technician to manually yaw the nacelle in the way it is also possible from the control panel.

Het gaat om een loshangend besturingskastje met twee knoppen, eentje om te starten en te stoppen en eentje om de kruirichting te bepalen. Het kan via een rail o.i.d. op verschillende locaties in de werkruimte worden gebruikt.

Pendant slaat dus op het feit dat het kastje loshangt (vgl. een hanger). In de bestaande vertaling wordt gesproken over "een (verplaatsbare) topbox", maar ik kan hiervoor helemaal geen referenties vinden.

Wie oh wie kan me helpen met de juiste vertaling?

Een vrij wilde gooi, toegegeven, maar is dit niet gewoon wat het ding doet? Een machine op afstand bedienen?
Of zit er toch een snoer aan? In dat geval: bedieningskastje, besturingseenheid, of iets dergelijks...
